Assists with surgical procedures by preparing set up of operating room prior to surgery. Opens and maintains sterile environment of supplies, anesthesia equipment and any special equipment as needed. Interviews patient prior to surgery, including pre operative teaching and answers questions regarding surgical procedure. Acts as patient advocate during surgical intervention.
